This venue was incredible and although it was intimidating, everyone working there made me feel so welcome. This was my first gig with fancy things like a soundcheck and a dressing room and a ticket booth which was so wild. Jerome & I had the most wonderful conversation in the dressing room that I wish I could have a transcript of to revisit haha – somehow in just 20 minutes we covered topics ranging from growing up, realizing teachers and doctors are humans, burning out, finding joy, being unable to predict nerves or lack thereof, feeling like you’ve always been you yet changing on the daily and looking back on your past selves only to wonder what was going on. He’s a wonderful friend and a beautiful human and it was so lovely to see him and hear his music. 🙂 Most photos by Matias Kinkela, who is a great photographer and lovely person!
